Jez plays… Rocket League

Rocket League is a vehicular soccer video game developed and published by Psyonix. Described as “soccer, but with rocket-powered cars”, Rocket League has up to eight players assigned to each of the two teams, using rocket-powered vehicles to hit a ball into their opponent’s goal and score points over the course of a match. The game includes single-player and multiplayer modes that can be played both locally and online, including cross-platform play between all versions. Later updates for the game enabled the ability to modify core rules and added new game modes, including ones based on ice hockey and basketball. Psyonix transitioned Rocket League to a free-to-play model on all platforms on September 23, 2020. Associated with the transition, the game added cross-platform progression that covers the cosmetic items players have earned, new competitive tournaments at each rank to earn rewards, new challenges, and other features.

After being coerced into doing so by my friends in the Primetime Streamer Network, I started playing Rocket League in April 2021. Here are some of my best goals and antics during my first week of play:

On May 12th, 2021, my Twitch community gents and I embarked on a night of soc-car. We were bad.

It’s been a little ol’ while but we’re finally getting the band back together on Rocket League. Will our play have improved since last time? Well… no… but it was a fun time all around! Enjoy.

Fall Guys became Fail, Guys so we moved on to Rocket League. Big community involvement, lots of fun.

Back on Rocket League for the second time this week – scheduled this time – to give Season 4 a little crack and be terrible in ranked games, as is the tradition…

Didn’t get to stream at my scheduled time so let’s rock with some Rocket League to while away the evening. Community involvement, much banter.
